To celebrate the 80^th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day the children at Colmers Farm Primary School took part in numerous activities, such as dressing in red, white and blue, learning and performing a song from the 1940s (The Dame Vera Lynn classics of The White Cliffs of Dover or We'll Meet Again), a special outdoor lunch and finding out information about individual, normal people who fought in or contributed towards the war effort. They also produced some writing based on the information about these people and made a poppy to remember them.
