Year 3 Synagogue Visit
23 Nov
On Wednesday, Year 3 visited Singers Hill Synagogue to enhance their learning of Judaism. They were given a detailed tour, by Warden Geoffrey, who showed them all around the fantastic building. The children were very excited to listen as he explained to them the different parts of the synagogue and their significance. The children were even allowed to look in the ark and to see the Torah scrolls up close!
The children listened closely as Geoffrey explained to them about the rituals and traditions of the Jewish faith – including talking about the Star of David and sharing his own memories of growing up in this synagogue.
Everyone did Colmers Farm proud as they were on their best behaviour, showing a great amount of respect and enthusiasm for those around them.
